Canton of Riverouge

A branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism within the Barony of Endless Hills and the Kingdom of Æthelmearc, located in the Northeastern area of Pennsylvania. We encompass the counties of Bradford, Susquehanna, Pike, and Wayne. Major towns included are Towanda, Susquehanna, Montrose, Forest City, Honesdale, and Milford.

Not familiar with the SCA? The SCA is a living history organization, researching and recreating the Middle Ages and Renaissance, focusing on pre-17th century Western European culture. A good basic explanation is given here.

Activities

6 January 2007, Twelfth Night
Christmas is over and the new year will be here, but the festivities are not over. The Canton of Riverouge invites all to our 12th night Yule gathering on Jan 6th, 2007. All are invited for a relaxing festive time with friends. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share and if you want in on the fun gift exchange, to bring a gift SCA related around $10.00. Games, music and Dancing are encouraged. It will be held in Harford, PA at the First Congregational Church Lecture Hall from 2pm - 7pm. The site does not allow alcohol.(DRY) Hope to see you all there.

Directions Take 81 North from Scranton to Harford Exit exit 217. Go into town and cross the temporary bridge and go straight, the church is on the Left hand side on a small hill. Go up the driveway by cemetery and park. The lecture hall is next to the church. This is the only church in Harford.
